Getting started

How do I join?

Membership is by application. Enter your email on the application page, confirm it with the code we send, and finish the short application. It takes under a minute. We review every application, and membership opens in waves so you won't start in an empty room.

I didn't get my verification email or code.

Check your spam or junk folder first. Verification links and codes expire after a short time, and you can request a new one from the verification screen. If it still doesn't arrive, contact us at the email below.

What are Circles?

Circles are small local communities. When you become a member, you're connected to circles for your area based on the location you share, so challenges, discovery, and connections stay scoped to where you live rather than a worldwide feed. Wherever you are, your circles start there.

Using Firewalker

How do habits and streaks work?

Create a habit, then log it each day you complete it. Your streak counts consecutive days. Every 7 days in a row banks a streak shield (you can hold up to 2), and a shield is spent automatically to cover your next missed day. With no shield banked, a missed day resets the streak. Habits with a weekly goal count completions per week instead. Metrics work similarly for numeric or rating values you want to track over time.

How do Challenges work?

Browse and join challenges in your circles, or create your own. Logging progress updates your completion percentage and your position on the challenge leaderboard.

How does messaging work?

You can message people you're connected with. Messages from people you aren't yet connected to arrive as requests, which you can accept or ignore. You'll see when the other person was last active.

Safety & privacy

How do I block or report someone?

You can block any user at any time. Blocked users can't message you or view your profile. You can also report behavior that violates our Community Guidelines. Reports are confidential, and we review them. For practical advice on meeting people safely, see our Safety page.

What data does Firewalker collect?

Why does Firewalker ask for my phone number?

Community and Dating are built around real people, so phone verification is required to access Community and Dating. It is the simplest and most effective way we know to keep out fake accounts, bots, and spam. It makes throwaway accounts expensive to create and helps keep removed bad actors from coming back, which means everyone you meet on Firewalker has cleared the same bar you did.

The same one-time code also protects your own account: we send it to confirm it is really you when you add or change your phone number, or when we need to re-verify access to your account. Your number is never shown to other members or sold. The only outside party that handles it is the messaging provider that delivers your code.

Text messages from Firewalker

When you verify your phone number, or when we need to confirm access to your account, you choose how to receive your one-time code: by text message, or by an automated phone call that reads it aloud. Texts are never required. If you choose text, it is a transactional message sent only when you request it. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

You receive one message per verification request. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier. Firewalker does not charge for these messages.

Want to stop? Reply STOP to any message. You will no longer receive verification codes by text. You can still verify by choosing "Call Me Instead", or opt back in to texts by replying START.
